Max Havelaar Lecture

Last week’s Max Havelaar Lecture brought about much interesting discussion and  insights. The afternoon was hosted by Peter d’Angremond, Executive Director of the Max Havelaar Foundation. After an introduction by EUR Dean Prof. Steef van de Velde – who posed the question: which type of value do we choose to create? – the afternoon kicked off with a keynote speech by Adrian de Groot Ruiz. Adrian made the case for the feasibility ánd the inevitability of True Pricing.

The second keynote speech was given by Triodos CEO Peter Blom, who spoke on the bold idea of fair banking. The afternoon also included the launch of the book “Managing the Transition to a Sustainable Enterprise”, by Prof. Rob van Tulder, who made a plea for a race to the top among companies when it comes to sustainable operations.
