This Friday, November 30, we will organize a lecture together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is titled “Business and Sustainability: Environmental Profit & Loss and True Prices” and will feature Reiner Hengstmann (Global Director PUMA.Safe).
In November 2011, PUMA published the first Environmental Profit & Loss Account (EP&L), showing the company’s impact on the environment. This unprecedented move gained Puma worldwide recognition for their efforts to change the course of global environmental degradation. Last month, Puma unveiled product level results: the product Environmental Profit and Loss Analysis and unveiled that former Puma CEO Jochen Zeitz and Virgin-founder Richard Branson will launch a coalition of a dozen companies that will reveal their EP&L in 2013. This was featured in amongst others CNN, the Financial Times, the Guardian and the Economist.
Dr. Reiner Hengstmann is Global Director PUMA.Safe Supply and responsible for the implementation of the EP&L. He oversees the team of people covering environmental and social issues worldwide in the SAFE concept. He is also responsible for the implementation and observation of environmental and social standards in PUMA and along PUMA’s global supply chain.
